Aside from big chains and D locks, what else do you do to secure your bike?
Ive seen various sites suggesting supergluing a ball bearing into a allen key bolt (then use some strong solvent stuff to melt the glue if you need to unscrew the thing) or melting some solder into it - guess that will stop the casual stripping of components from bikes
Anyone had any joy/uses things like smartwater and data tag's etc? - Infact I think my bike was "postcoded" when the police came round to 6'th form (a long long time ago....)
Or do people sleep with their bikes as the ultimate security measure.

I use a cable for my front wheel and it has a RF chip from www.immobilise.com to help the police if it gets lifted. However it lives in my flat and stays in my workshop at work so is pretty secure ! (tempts fate)FCN 11, Hmmm0

My bike stays in the house too. I use a massive chain lock when riding it to work where it goes into a lockup cage. I have an extra NY Krpto for securing the other wheel when not travelling to work. The wheels are secured with hex-skewers too.
I wouldnt put glue or solder in the allen sockets however as it might get elsewhere or be more difficult to remove than you think0 -
