Was fed up with the crappy Maxxis, so bought some WTB Velocirators, absolutely fantastic !

Went for a bit of a ride this afternoon around Bagshot common and I can say I have never been able to grip and climb like this before.

For those that do not know, they are front and rear specific. The front are longitudinal so grip side ways for steering. The rears treads go cross ways and are great for pushing you through.

A wide varietys of ground types, hard in places, also plenty of gravel, soft silt and woodlands I felt they performed really well.

Any one else use them ?

[Mods; if this would be better elsewhere, please feel free to move]

    I used to ride Velociraptors and loved them!
    Didn't know they still made them to be honest!

    They have been re-introduced.
  • Used to love my 'raptors. Great set of tyres. then again, I was also rather fond of my old Tioga Psychos...

    I have them on my old Zaskar LE. I think they are fantastic tires.

    Where'd you get them? I'm stocking up.

    And if the manufacture is reading this, make some tubeless versions asap please!!!!
    <insert witty comment here>

    Also, I have calculated my FCN as 12...although I have no idea what that actually means.

    Chainreaction have them - £10 for wire, £20 for folding. WTB Velociraptors. That brings back some memories I tell you. I have some Panaracer smoke/darts if anyone's interested :o

    I vividly remember Velociraptors, but I can;t for the life of me remember what bike I had them on. It's been such a long time!

    A friend has some a set of Smoke and Dart, but the newer versions, we are apparently not as good.

    Like Ben said, I got them from Chainreaction for a tenner a piece, inc delivery !
