Campag to Shimano free wheel hub on Fulcrum wheels

I have just sold my Bianchi winter bike (baby dobbo on the way), and have taken off the Campag Fulcrum wheels that were on it to put on my main bike during the winter.

My main bike has a Shimano groupset, I have been told by the chap at the LBS that I can fit a new free wheel hub and turn the Campag wheels into Shimano.

Just wondered if this was the case? :?

Yes this can work - but you have to get the right freehub body to match your wheels.

BTW - what Fulcrum wheels do you have? I have a spare Fulcrum shimano freehub body for sale that fits Fulcrum Racing 7 and 5 wheels, it's had very little use, you could buy that if you like and save yourself a few quid - PM if interested.

    Hi Andy,

They are Fulcrum 5's, so your freehub sounds good.

How much are you wanting for it?

The current retail price for one of these is £55 from Chain Reaction - so does £35 including postage sound reasonable?

As I mentioned I bought a pair of Racing 7 wheels recently from a friend, which he had hardly used (only used them about 3 times), but I run Campag so the Shimano Freehub Body is surplus to requirements.

    Thanks Andy,

Sounds very reasonable, however I think I will wait until the winter and evaluate then.

    Cheers

Hmm, sounds interesting! I could do with getting a Campag hub for my Racing Zeros - do you happen to know if CRC sells them too?

Martin (Dobbo75) - no problem, let me know if you're still interested later in the year.
