Just thought I'd share some of my pleasant experiences I've had over the last 12 months.
I'll start with the pain in my ar5se. I've got a 2009 EX8, absolutely love it!! But I've always had a sore ar5e after being out on it. I changed to a Charge Spoon and wow what a difference. Cured Pain free buttochs for 20 quid. Get one, you won't regret it.
While out testing my Spoon, I was about 4 miles from home and heard PSsssssSSsSSsSSTtttTttTt!!!!!! Oh crap, no reapir kit cos I was only on a blast and a puncture, great, nice walk home I thought. But no, some months earlier I'd converted to tubeless. So I rotated the hole to the floor and in about 15 secs - hey presto - no puncture!! I'd always bit sceptical of tubeless as I never knew - out on the trail - if I'd know I'd got a puncture and how would I know it would seal it. Well it did and I was chuffed to bits It wasn't that hard to convert either, I'm a novice and it went really well for me. Hard getting the standard tyres off and on, but that was one of the reasons I'd wanted to convert. They feel a lot better as well.
I've also had a lot of back pain recently. Well I moved my saddle forward about an inch and even after a short ride I can feel the difference. Back pain gone and more ooomph to my thighs. Have a go at moving your saddle if the same happens to you. I'm amazed at the difference it made.
Lastly, I've just fitted some Superstar Kevlar pads to my juicy 5's. They went in a piece of cake. First impressions is they're not bad. I'll give you an update on stopping feel and wear rate as I progress. Though I am quite light I feel on braking. It's not like I go through loads over a year.
Thanks for reading and I hope this little epic helps someone as I've learnt so much from here

Sink the eight ball. Buy the lady a drink. And nobody knows my name.
