The Scott is described by its own website as a 'Speed Utility Bicycle' wheras the Trek is a 'Killer Commuter'. For that reason alone I go for the Trek :D

Is it just me or do the drop bars and brakes on the Revolution Cross look oversized for the bike frame?
At least you'll be able to pop down to their Manchester branch to check it out.
Anyway, the Revoolution cross is discussed here

Get the CX and see how you get on with it. then put some skinnier tires on it when you realize that you're weight won't be an issue.

I would say the Edinburgh cx - but why are they hiding the shifters in the photo? are they offensive/disturbingly disfigured ?

problems with those bikes is that they are all hybrid. Worst of both worlds basically!
