Cycle path in Hyde Park

Yes it's a cycle path and pedestrians shouldn't be walking along it, but that doesn't mean they're not allowed to cross it! There were loads of pedestrians needing to cross it last night to get to the Blur gig, and I saw several cyclists riding up to them and ringing their bells without even slowing down. The pedestrians had right of way, especially as they were already on the path when the cyclists approached. It's embarrassing when cyclists behave in such a rude manner, and it comes across as really arrogant. Yes I know it's annoying that so many pedestrians walk on cycle paths but please bear in mind that when pedestrians need to CROSS the cycle path you MAY NEED TO SLOW DOWN and be inconvenienced slightly.

I gave up trying to use that path in the summer.

I think two unbroken lines and a cycle symbol is tourist-speak for 'please walk here'.
