I need a barrel adjuster spring

I've managed to break the spring that sits between the body of my rear mech and the cable barrel adjuster. Does anyone know where I could get a new one?

I've tried looking at the Shimano technical document for my mech (Deore LX) but the diagram only lists part numbers for the barrel adjuster itself, not for the spring. In fact, the spring doesn't even appear on the diagram. I put the part number for the bolt itself into the search boxes at Madison and Petra cycles (usual sources for Shimano spares) but there's no way of telling whether the bolt comes with a spring and given the official diagram doesn't depict one I'd tend to suspect not.

Is this the sort of thing the LBS will have lying around, or does any kind gent/lady here have a spare one?

I would imagine most LBS will have one knocking around, it may be worth looking at other shimano tech docs as the spring is probably the same part.

I have the Campag ones here. Not got a Shimano rear mech to hand to compare but these are 7mmOD and about 10mm long
