...from earlier today. What a trainwreck. I lasted about 20 minutes before giving up, but in that time I learned:

1. Pierre Rolland won this year's Liege-Bastogne-Liege
2. Christophe Moreau is a two-time world champion, and
3. Gert Steegmans is someone to look out for in the sprints this year

The classic was the intro for Auge or someone, where Daniel Mangeas described him as a "puncheur" and Sir Carlton said "he just said something like puncture, but that's 'crevaison' so I don't understand"

I did the same, right after the Pierre Rolland comment. Just flicked on for the main squads and new kits.
Given the choice was French or gibberish, I'd say Eurosport took the wrong option.

Massive race hype from them all week, only for them to land us with this tuurd rate commentator.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching RAI's coverage of the Giro event, even though my Italian is dodgier than my French.
Helicopters aplenty, shots of St Marks and the Grand Canal. Light hearted and fun.

Dour TDF done on the cheap. Sort of a "Made in Taiwan by the KGB" thing.
"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.

What a joke - my little boy wanted to watch it but he decided he was better off with CBeebies after the 'puncheur' moment

My 4 year old son came through not long after I switched the channel last night and said "Dad, you should be watching the news.... not Eurosport!"

Out of the mouths of babes.

    Etape Caledonia (May 16th)

    He was truly awful.
Case dez span was another one. He's so boring,
Robbie Hunter is spot on with his comments.
At least David Harmon and Sean Kelly do the race commentary.

As it happens Pierre Rolland rides in my Pro Cycling Manager 2009 team, but unfortunately he didn't win L-B-L this year.
