Had to compress the Vid loads due to the shite internet over here took me just over 7 hours to upload that, and it less than 100M much sadness!!!!0
-
Looks good that, like you say, much better now it's not just 5 mins looking at your knees
Where would I get one of those cameras and chest mounts from then?0 -
I got the Cam from my LBS and the chest mount from CRC
CRC Do the cam as well, I would have got one but I had a 25% off from my LBS :-D
So check out CRC and make sure you get the GO PRO WIDE not the standard one0 -
ace.... looks like my sort of terrain... rough and fast and down......not too many big drops offs nor rock gardens....great fun.
p.s is that a UFO at 1min 50ish?0 -
Yeah it's good fun to ride we have loads of drops and a few garden a la rocks but they will come in later vids XD
Nah thats just the sun :-D0 -

As a Welshman, that's really unnerving, I can't see ANY mountains at all on the horizon!
I'm so used to seeing them, that I forget what scenery looks like without them :oops:0 -

I would recommend them to any one after a sub 200quid cam and setup. The new HD helmet cam is awesome as well but the make escapes me. Thats will drop you a nice 350 though so not so good.
Srsly the best cam for the money out there!!!
GET ONE NOW!!!!!0 -
Intresting a friend of mine bought the POV 1
and has to run it through a stablizer program and
takes 10mins per one frame.
Madness
Im out to get the Contour HD0 -
10 minutes per frame? that's over 4 hours of processing per second of footage
Are you sure you're not exxxagerating?
(quite apart from the fact I've never seen any image stabilisation methods that work on a frame-by-frame basis)0 -
+1 for sixsixone descend gloves in red white blue. Got 2 pairs myself.
The route looked fairly boring to be honest. Looks like 90% fire trail sort of stuff. But there was a little bit of a descent that looked alright at around 2:15, but camera didnt give a very good picture, too juddery. For some bits the camera still looked a bit too low, couldnt hurt raising it just a bit more. But good quality picture I think.
If thats the sort of riding you do most of the time, then that bike really is overkill! Especially if youre having trouble with the climbs. You would probably be better off with a ht or a rigid (inbred with Pace RC31 Carbon?).
And not sure if its just the camera angle, but your saddle looked like you might be better off raising it a bit, your knees seemed to going way too close to you.0 -

No thats just what I have just outside my front door literally 100metre away, that route is my commute to work route.
The climbs are just me being unfit after many months in hospital more than the bike
It climbs like a beast for the first few then Im just super rubbish so I hike a bike!!!
When you see my knees thats me being lazy and sitting down, the vid was for showing the cam angle rather than a riding Vid. It was like 38 degrees when I was filming so soon saps the energy
As I said thats Vid is compressed so much due to shite internet here. In its orignal format good as any TV show.
The rough juddery parts are super bumpy so it does well to keep up.
Thanks for the input0 -
Super jealous now. Would love to have an off road commute. But whats it like in the winter? Does it get super muddy? Or do you drive or ride on roads?
Sitting down pedalling actually works the muscles more. Where was that filmed?0 -
Cyprus my friend we have no winter
Filmed in Cyprus
I ride gravity fueled stuff only as much as I can, up in the mountains next over the next few weeks so some vids of the DH courses to come
I know sitting down works more but it's set up for the DH sections so the saddle is super low hence when I sit down you see my knees in my chest0 -

Thats excellent mate! really good quality (especially for youtube).
where did you have the cam mounted originally?0 -
Not really convinced about the lens. The fish-eye effect is so strong that whenever you're leaning down, it's difficult to make out the terrain ahead.0

It was on my chest but with the original mount, for the second take I used the supplied mount (being an idiot first take lol) for the money it's awesome not after pro video shoots and it does the job. Take into account the 55% compression for you tube and thats what the original looks like0 -

Who wants to see the ants and rocks the want the FOV and the action up close my Vid is more a cam test so the action is not great but in the next few vids you will see some gnarly routes and rides0
