Hi,

I have a set of Bontrager Race X Lite wheels on my Lemond Victoire and am thinking about an upgrade to these wheels and i will keep these as a spare set.

These are a great set of hoops so it will need to be a pair that will offer significant difference. Would prefer clinchers and not deep section carbon rims.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

Cheers
Fraser

Hi - i have a set of Race X Lites, they are really nice wheels... since you say you do not want carbon or deep section, then i'm not sure you will get something that will give you 'significant difference'. ...... not being helpful just +1 for Race X Lites being great hoops

Dura Ace 7850. Mint wheels. Upgraded from my bonti race wheels and major difference. Carbon but with alloy braking surface, best of both!

Personally I would go for the Easton EA90SLX. Lovely wheels at around £540

I have Ascent II that are 3 or 4 years old and they have been excellent.
Good price compared to Mavic at the moment.
Like the HED wheels too - I'd have a pair just so I can say I have the "stallion build" !!!
