I ride in the Lancashire hills and moors. If you push it hard I really don't see that you've time to be bored, for example I always get at least 55mph max speed on my training route. Then again everyone's different. I must admit I find technical MTBing fustratingly slow at times & hate pushing my MTB bike up anything. Swings & rounabouts!

I use a Specialised Tricross for my Tarmac / urban excursions. It makes going to work more fun and feels great hurtling along the windy cycle tracks of Bristol (maybe pretending to be Valentino Rossi).

I just miss the braking power of the mountain bike, espicially since my rear brake seized about 3 months ago. :P

I wear all the same stuff i wear to go off roading, apart from a shitty hi-viz vest during the winter months and my oldest pair of Vans which fit nicely in my toe-clip pedals.

But I do find road riding a bit boring IMO, but its not as boring as looking for somewhere to park.. The traffic keeps it interesting tho!
