Biking in the Peak District

I am thinking of driving up to the Peaks and having a day on my bike.
I am going to drive up early one Friday morning, riding all day Friday, staying in a tent over-night and driving back saturday.
Does anyone know any good trails/routes? Or is it even a good place to ride? is there somewhere that may be better?

If you see it, ride it, if you don't, you have already fallen off!

edale valley has some awesome riding. you're spoilt for choice in the peaks to be honest. There's 2 books available that cover the white peak and the dark peak, they'd be a good starting point0

As mentioned you really are spoilt for choice in the peaks. Take a look here:

Zoom in on peaks and away you go - hopefully give you some ideas!0 -

look up mbr's hard route last month me thinks? in Edale taking in Jacobs ladder but do it the opposite way round for more downhill action:) then in the afternoon or possibly Saturday morning head over to Ladybower resevoir and tackle teh Cut gate route. well worth the travel up noorth0

You can't go far wrong with any of the routes that have been mentioned. As an alternatvie to camping I can recommend http://www.lilybankfarmcottage.co.uk, would be able to sort you out with a good route for a days riding also.0
