Try the above link for the BikeRadar review, this should help. It depends on what you want the bike for, what type of riding you will be doing. There has been quite a bit of press this year regarding the financial plights and suggestions of mismanagement at Iron Horse, but in my opinion should not detract from the fact that they made some very capable bikes.

If you need this much travel then it's a good bike, but the Iron Horse Azure Ezpert, which is available at The Bike Outlet http://www.bikeoutlet.co.uk/products/Ir ... 02-12.html at £1,395 is a cracking ride. Yes, it's only 100mm travel front and rear, but is much lighter, more XC than the MKIII and climbs fabulously. I can't find a review of the 08 model, but below is a link to the Bike Radar review of the 07 version.

If you are serious about either of these it's worth sending a mail to the guys at Bike Outlet, they are helpful and I know that one of the guys there, Alex, knows both bikes well and can give you some good advice.

I should have also pointed out that Bike Outlet also have the MKIII for £995, depending on the size you need this is a bargain compared to the price you have been quoted elsewhere, see link below.

I thought Iron horse went into administration?

    Read somewhere earlier this year.

Could be wrong though, but if true what about the warranty?

The warranty should be discussed with the shop you buy it from. I mentioned the adverse publicity received by Iron Horse surrounding financial problems in my earlier posting, but if a shop wants to sell a bike then they should be able to take the responsibility of the manufacturer from a guarantee/warranty position. Remember, your purchasing contract is with the dealer.
