    Hello,

I am pleased to announce that I am no longer the brusied up Queen! I have new pedals and I have started wearing my old etnies and I no longer seem to fall off. My only bruise is from walking into the cooker door.

I do, however, have some great cuts from some brambles today.

I think I just need to except that mountain bking will mean I will never be able to be a model on a venus razor advert...I think I can live with that.

And i like the person, not the legs, and an active person who bikes scars and all and all is way more attractive.

I've been a big scardy cat when out riding, especially in the mud. Went out cycling in December when it was snowing and I was going for it......Hard ground and not being able to see the tree roots and rocks under you are a definate confidence boost, I even stacked it twice, it didn't hurt as my body was numb from the cold.......I loved it!!!!

Can't wait for the weather to dry out and get some MTB time on dry ground.......Getting some knee and elbow pads to boost my scardy cat confidence........I'll show the lads!!!!!!

    8) I had one or two tumbles which was a bit off-putting - it does happen in off-roading. I bought some shin/knee and elbow guards and this helps giveme the confidence to 'have a go' a bit more. I find it good if you get to a difficult bit to go back and try it a few times - even walk it to look at the line if it looks a bit iffy. Most important thing is to sus it out a ride it but be looking ahead at not at the obstacle - if you look at it it will go wrong! I'm in my later 50s now and can have a fun time even tho I can't do all the technical bits so Good luck!
