Tough inner tubes

On my ride last weekend I had two punctures in quick succession, both of which occurred on reasonably quick descents made on bumpy roads. Looking at the stricken tube afterwards it just seems to have split at the seam.

I've never had more than one puncture on any ride before, but these were tubes (I won't say from which manufacturer) that I've not used before. I don't know what the previous tubes were because they came with the bike!

I'm fairly heavy (88 kilos) but this is a new problem for me - does anybody have recommendations for hard-weariing inner tubes that will put up with the bumps and grinds of UK roads???
