Going to be no sleep tonight

It were bloddy baking. laid out on the floor in nothing but my undergarments. The sheer thought of horizontal exercise, yesterday night, was enough to make me passout.
In fact I did (think about said exercise as a means of falling asleep), but was woken seconds later because it was so flaming hot! Damn first floor flat where heat rises... grumble.Food Chain number = 4
A true scalp is not only overtaking someone but leaving them stopped at a set of lights. As you, who have clearly beaten the lights, pummels nothing but the open air ahead. ~ 'DondaddyD'. Player of the Unspoken Game0 -

OVERSHARE!!
Yes in hot weather, when in my flat, I may sit around in my underwear or swimming trunks or my without a pad lycra cyling shorts.
I mean really on a forum where its encouraged to prance around in public in the brightest lycra, that openly discusses men shaving legs, how to and how far up the leg to go. In a forum that reccommends going commando and in a thread where "horizontal exercise" was already suggested as a remedy to help getting to sleep, you decide to make an exception of my post!?
Do you think you may have been:
OVERREACTING!!
And what the hell is or does "overshare" mean anyway?Food Chain number = 4

I'm not hot. I'm in an air-conditioned office. 8)
However, I reckon all of 5 minutes into my 1hr commute home I'm going to be pouring with sweat. :?
There is a large tub of ice cream waiting for me in the freezer. That WILL be my first port of call
Unfortunately my fluid loss will be offset my my fly gain, so I'll be no lighter when i get home. :roll:Chunky Cyclists need your love too! :-)

have you bunch of wingers thought of buying some FANS?
Clever bits of 19th century technology that you plug into the wall and blow air over you.
No?
Folks in this country are seldom happy with the weather are they?

I have a fan. It's blowing hot air over me. Frankly, it's not helping.0

Great idea: a fan in the bedroom
So rather than lie silently in a room full of hot air and not sleep you'd lie in a room of hot moving air with the added benefit of a noisy fan and not sleep.
Explain the advantage of this to me?

evaporation cooling init
You'd have thought cyclists would get that. It's why you really start dripping when you STOP cycling and lose the benefit of the breeze
personally I find the hum of a fan quite soporiphic, like being on an aeroplane0 -

Fans work. Aircon works better.
I like to think of may fan (normal in london, sweet, sweet aircon in Essex and the hotel I'm in tonight) as white noise, a la those fancy noise cancelling headphones.
And, what's more, it works. Noisy room? Crank the aircon up to max blowy, sleep like baby.0 -
