Sorry for posting on a 'buying' page, but y'know...
...just thought I'd get as much exposure as possible on this in the hope that some filthy, stealing scroat of a lowlife is brought to justice!
Over the weekend of 27th and 28th June I had a yellow mountain bike stolen from behind my house in Kirkbarrow, Kendal. It has black front suspension, red pedals and mudguards (it's probably by now in several parts/colours!)
If anyone sees or knows anything about the bike I'd appreciate the information. It's not really worth anything as I used it for commuting every day and it was 13 years old, but as you'll agree, it's the principle!
You can contact me at jamespswann@hotmail.co.uk
Many thanks!

Sorry to hear that fella.
You may be best sticking this post in the Stolen section rather than buying advice.
Have you contacted the Police? You should. Whilst people nick higher end bikes to sell on or whatever, some cheaper bikes just get nicked by pissheads to ride home, then get dumped. If the cozzers have the details of the bike they may be able to get it back to you if it ever turns up. Obviously, by reporting it as stolen, you get a crime number and can potentially get a nice shiny new bike if it was insured0 -
Sorry, didn't see the stolen section before, despite looking...doh!
I reported it straight to the Police - have had a few bikes go over the years. Luckily/sensibly I keep my good ones locked up very securely!
I doubt the insurance will be worth the excess and hassle, and it was on its way out, so needed replacing sooner or later. Just want to catch the b*stards and tell them how extremely miffed I am at their lack of respect!
Appreciate the reply matey, cheers!0
