got the bike bug after not riding for 15 yrs, been looking at the carrera fury in halfords, the 08 fury has tora 318 fork at £550,the 09 fury has suntour epicon fork at £600(and it looks better in white).reading reviews of the 08 fury the tora was a good plus point,is the new fork and new brakes an improvement or worth the extra 50 notes.

If you've got an 08 Fury available to you why don't you go for that? That way you're guaranteed a tried and tested winner, fork n all.0

Hi
Had a look at the 09 this weekend and the frame looks miles better than the 08. It has smooth welds and the white paint job is almost identical to the boardman pro.0 -
just re read my post meant to say 08 model  ,now for deciding what frame size to order i wont go down that road on this forum.only problem is you dont get a feel for a bike sat on it in store.0

I'd still say go for the 08, it's not as blingy but the spec's tried and tested and it's cheaper. The 08 set the bar for a £500-ish trail hardtail, the 09 will have a hard job to beat that.Uncompromising extremist0

Personally I'd be going for a better fork over neater welds anyday!*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)
