hi guys, just a quick one, had a quite serious off last weekend at leith hill, had just finished deliverance(leith hill area) then went into an unfamilar section that finished near a pub in coldharbour? went over two small kicker jumps that sent me over the bars, landed very heavily on right shoulder and side of head, broken shoulder in 4 places!!!!!! bent front wheel, but no obvious damaged to giro xen (2008) helmet apart from mud and grass debris, stuck in the vents and front of visor, ask a silly question but would it be adviseable to replace helmet, there doesnt look like to be much damage, but the head is more important than shoulder, if you know what im saying, cheers paul

Yeah, I'd replace it if it took a bash.

You might be able to get a deal from Giro on a replacement helmet if they have a crash damage replacement scheme.

    +1 fella

On the subject of replacing your lid, how often would you suggest? I've had my Bell Delerium for around 3 1/2 years now in which time it has saved my head on a couple of occasions without appearing to have any obvious damage. Do helmets have a "life span" so to speak?
Wow great ship man. Looks like a fish, flies like a fish, steers like a cow.
