    How tinted are they?

I'd say they are about the same colour as an 81B photographic warm up filter, no more than a 10% loss in light.

Just try the link I posted. The lenses are top quality, very hardwearing and durable and everyone I know who has got some (on my recommendation) can't thank me enough.

Cheers for the recommendation - I've been looking at these anyway, and was trying to figure out if they were going to be a 5 minute wonder or not.

Oops - missed this! The ESP ones vary depending on the light. Very handy indeed!

I use the £24 dhb triple lens glasses with the blue lenses. They are cheap, replaceable and they work. Losing faith in expensive sunglasses as they are magically attracted to being as far away from me as is possible.

sorry for the ignorance, but are any of these lenses perscription?

My current glasses/sunglasses dig into the top of my nose, cos of my helmet. I've now got one of those horrible glasses marks. Well I'm a girl, i think of these things.

I've started looking for a pair of perscription shades for my bike, but a little to much choice out there when you don't know where to start.

Sadly it hasn't mattered this week, we haven't seen the sun yet. :(

Its difficult for me to advise on this as I would be biased being in optometry, however I would like make a couple of points, first of all there is no such thing as anti-scratch, all manufactures use the term scratch resistent or abrasion resistent, same as water resistent and waterproof so all lenses including glass will scratch, anti-scratch is false advertising. I have to agree that the qaulity of lens will make a difference to your vision, I am lucky in I get free sunnies from adidas, bolle, rayban and serengetti. My current cycling gigs are Bolle's Micro edge with the modulator lens (similar to transition), It serves its purpose. This weekend I have been given a sample sunnie from serengetti with the new Nylon lens, still scratches like the others but the clarity is superb, its also being used by Rudi-Project in their next generation, well worth looking out for, it has the same tensile strength of polycarb, same weight but the optical properties are far superiour over the old polycarb. Suggest if poss try them before you buy, what suits one person may not suit another.

Refered to as anti-scratch coating by the people who sell me my glasses round my way. They do go on to establish that its scratch resistant and if pressed will explain that the coating will bio-degrade over time (2yrs is the average for me). At which point you are advised to buy another pair of glasses even though you may not need a new perscription.
