Knee pain . Any doctors in the house ?

For the past month I've had knee pain in my right leg.
In fact it began when I started riding my new Tricross, I'm sure I had the bike set up wrong + the fact I'm not used to riding road/cross bikes.
Anyhoo , the pain is a mixture of a pin like stabbing feeling (on the inside of the kneee) and stiffness following a ride.
I've tried putting pressure (using my hand/fingers) but can't locate any particular problem, except maybe the boney pertrusion on the inside on the knee.
I've been trying to rest it, but the bike and walking is my only form of transport.
Anyone else having problems (the bikers disease), actually I read a report saying most pro bikers don't have any problems with their knees.
Right I'm off to buy 50 boxes of glucosamine, and look at electric bikes

If only life were that simple .... I'll move all 4 saddles upwards then :P
Nope , I've got it spot on (now), though I do admit having (and riding) four bikes will probably put extra stress on joints because of the change in geometry.
Also four different saddles, four different gear systems ... there’s a lot to be said about having one bike only

Andy, good couple of articles here:

I'd check for small differences between your bikes which may be causing the pain. Worn cleats, damaged (worn, crashed) pedals etc. If you've started ramping up the mileage/intensity lately that can occasionally cause some trouble: muscle responds to training faster than tendon (this has happened to me causing IT band discomfort for a short while). The stretches in the above articles may help.
If worst comes to worst and the pain persists then get thee to your GP.

From the article ..........
" Bike-Specific Causes: Changes in equipment or a position on the bike that the body’s not used to
* Saddle height and saddle setback
* Length of cranks
* Cleat position or excessive wear "
It's must be down to that, riding my new tri-cross felt very restrictive compared to my other bikes , and it took some time to get the set up correct.
I'll go steady for a few weeks, then if there's no change I'll see the Doc. , who will probably say " No-ones getting any younger you know" , at which point I'll walk out in disgust.

I hate switching bikes, but lately have just stuck to the one..
I even made that one feel like a totally different bike the other day; whilst retightening my bars I let them rotate downward by about half a millimeter, result, totally different bike to get used to again, took about two days.0
