Hello i've just got a pair of the slime innertubes and was going to run them with my slick tyre's for doing the 24 mile round trip to work as i'm sick of punctures, question is when the week end comes i want to use normal tubes and off road tyre's so can i inflate and deflate them when i want to change over

IF YOU GET ANYTHING IN THEM[THORNS,GLASS] THEN THE ANSWERS NO.AS ONCE YOU TAKE THEM OUT TO SWAP TYRES YOU GET SLIME ALL OVER,AND THEY CANT BE REUSED.
BETTER IF YOU HAD TWO SET OF WHEELS,BOTH SETS WITH SLIMES,AND YOUR SLICKS ON ONE SET,AND OFF ROAD TYRE ON THE OTHERS.

I should think so, you might get a bit of gunk escaping, but not much to worry about.

Oh, and Garmin, tape down your shift key

I switch my Air Lock tubes around regularly, have done for years (had the same tubes for well over ten years now, just go round with the pliers occasionally, pulling the thorns out!), without any trouble. They're double skinned with the liquid trapped inbetween, don't know if that's the same for slime, or if you added it to an ordinary tube?

I'd be tempted to get a commuter bike - it won't cost more than another set of wheels and will save you a bunch of hassle. Mine was £6 (including a spare tube) and a good rummage in the sheds/garages!

Cheers guys they are the innertubes with the slime in when you buy them, i think the best thing would be just to try it maybe, wheels are a good idea but it has the 20mm bolt through front so makes it more expensive to buy a set, another bike is a no no really as i'm very very pushed for space untill we get i the new house, but hey thanks for the great replys.
