Q/R seat clamps, where can i get one?

Went to a couple of bike shops near me in search of a QR seat clamp as my bike has an annoying allen bolt clamp thats too small to accept a normal QR, mine has 34 written on the underside and i was told at the first shop its an odd size i.e. 34mm.
Ive had a nosey round and ive found 35mm ones or 34.9mm but no 34mm.
The bike is a 2008 carrera vulcan disc spec, has anyone else managed to get a QR seat clamp to fit or know of anywhere i can find one from?
Any help muchly appreciated as its a touch annoying having to fish out allen keys from my seat bag if or when i need to adjust my seat height

Ill feel especially silly if theyre readily available from hellfrauds then lol, it just threw me out when the guys at the two shops i went to today both looked a bit puzzled at the size and said thats gonna be a bad one to find!
Steve ill pop to my local one tomorrow and report back as to whether theyre available or not!"Don't ask the reasons why cos there arent any, don't follow convention, never say no, just believe in what you see and let the good times roll!"0 -

Got my replacement one from my local bike shop "revolution Cycles" in Bangor, north Wales.
Excellent shop, with really friendly staff and excellent service.0 -
Was yours on a vulcan though bud as its apparently an odd size!"Don't ask the reasons why cos there arent any, don't follow convention, never say no, just believe in what you see and let the good times roll!"0

mine? nah, it was for my marin, which is, apparently, an odd size.
I got a hope one, apparently, you can get one made for any size you want, but I just got a standard size one, which was slightly too small, and prized it open to make it fit.0 -

So will i need to widen it or will it just fit no problems if i get myself a 34.9mm one?
Sorry to keep asking i just want to confirm before i go off and purchase!"Don't ask the reasons why cos there arent any, don't follow convention, never say no, just believe in what you see and let the good times roll!"0 -
remember that a seat clamp is meant to bend a little when tightening it, so a small difference shouldn't be too much of a problem.
IIRC, mie was something totally bizarre like 35.5mm, but a 34.9 expands just fine, and holds the seatpost firmly in place - something the OEM clamp never did on these bikes, GRRRRR.0 -

Hi, sorry for a slight thread hijack
I'm looking for a white quick realease clamp for my Boardman Sport. Asked about it in another post.
The one fitted says 34 on the underside. I'm sure the seat tube on mine will be the same size as yours, so I take it a 31.8 will fit mine? Why has my sig been removed by the admins???0 -
Sorry for the late update but the guy at halfords was as helpful as he was blunt, he said the reason they (as a manufacturer group) took the decision not to fit seat Q/R's to carreras anymore, was due to the amount of gibbons who neglected to lock their seats when leaving bikes locked up and kept having them stolen.
The size they use to replace the clamp if ever they need to is a 34.9mm one, so i shall get myself one and report back with the fiting results, hope i can grab one soon as having to carry a 4mm allen key everywhere i might wanna play/adjust my seat height is a bit of a pain, (which in the words of the guy at halfords shouldnt be needed as a seat gets fixed at one height and never changes, i asked what about drops or descents or steep steep drop ins, and he looked at me stupidly) lol"Don't ask the reasons why cos there arent any, don't follow convention, never say no, just believe in what you see and let the good times roll!"0
