Nice bike pal, white rims look good.

Should be fine for ya. Just replace stuff as and when necessary. ie, when it's knackered.

  • Nice bike mate, looking good.

I agree with Si, white rims look nice and also just ride it until something wears out or breaks then replace with something better, unless of course something doesn't fit you right, like the seat or stem etc.... :D

thanks lads, the V8's make some difference since i put them on and got a shock pump and sorted them- oh and have added the obligatory chain stay protector also.

next up some spare wheels with semi-slicks on for the commute along with some red anodized bolts - you know cage holder ones, hanger bolt etc

    ta

    And these

    For the work commute.

So much easier when you only have to swap wheels over instead of tyres!

those are priced a bit tasty arent they! - im finding there are no where near as many hub options for 15mm thru axle QR tho.. dont suppose you have a link for any?
tyres look like schwalbe city things aswell , are you happy with them? did you go for 1.85?

    sorry for all the questions

Ooops, sorry mate I didn't realise you had a thru axle! Blame it on tiredness lol

Don't know any reasonably prices wheels for a thru axle. I'm sure others will be able to help tho!

I'm pretty chuffed with the tyres. Yeah, I got the 1.85. Have done a few hundred miles on them. Got them because they were so cheap, so I reckon they were a bargain.
They are a bit heavier than some other tyres, I presume because of the 'protek' layer.

Have pulled broken glass, thorns (and even a small screw) out of them...And still no puncture! lol
I guess I've just been lucky!

Quite good in the wet too... Just avoid manhole covers, metal grids etc!

I think, all in, I spent £150 (2 brake rotors, sram cassette, tyres, rim tape and wheels).

Deffo worth doing (if you can find thru axle wheels within your budget).
Just removes all the hassle. Quick pit-stop, sorted.
And provides useful emergency spares too lol

I will keep my eyes peeled for any wheels that might suit your needs.
