Doing my first build, what forks would you recommend, looking at either The Fox Talas, or the Float, its an 05 frame which was designed round a 130 fork will going to 140 make it ride worse, The only reason I would go for the Talas would be for the winding down on hills. So my questions are...

If I decide to go for the Floats which one to go for, the R, Rl, or RLC, and whats the difference in all these.

Would I find it hard on hills with the Floats locked out,

which of the floats would you recommend and would you go 15 mm qr..

It will make the front a little higher, the angles slightly more relaxed.

The differences in systems are all explained on the Fox website.

Only lock out when needed! But you can tune in how sensitive it is.

15mm is the stiffer system, but you need compatible hubs.

I know somone who rides an 05 with Pikes and he loves it. I had a brief spin on it a few months ago and it felt spot on, steering was sharp and didn't feel any the worse for it.

A mate has some 09 32 Talas RLC QR15's for sale here  They are in excelent condition and have just recently been serviced by Mojo.
