Spare chain pins / parts for emergencies

Hi,
I have a SRAM 10 sp chain with a power link. I always take a chain tool on long rides, but don't have any spare parts which is a bit foolish. Would a spare power link be a good idea - i.e. can this be fitted at any breakage point on the chain? Or do I need spare pins / normal links?
Thanks

Honestly don't bother. If you break your chain when you're out on a ride then simply knock a link out and fix the chain back together with the opened pin. Replace with a proper powerlink or new pin when you get back.Shazam !!0
