What does everyone think about this gear, I've bought some of it....
Track Pump,
Lights,
Hydration Rucksack.

I'm finding it of reasonable quality, and its very cheap.

    rucksack is fine
Giant Trance X0 (08) Reverb, Hope Hoops 5.1D, XT brakes, RQ BC, Works Components headset 1.5
  • i only use the innertubes, have loads of them inthe shed now, pick themup with the weekly grocery shopping!

i did have one of the hand pumps with a gauge but the inside of the valve hole broke and now doesnt inflate! just builds up pressure between the valve head and the pump!! and they are only a couple of quid cheaper than a blackburn mountain air so wouldnt suggest one of those,
but the rest seems to be okay!

    +1 for Tesco inner tubes.

Same as aldi stuff i guess,

Sadly I was there before it opened last time they were selling bike gear as it often sells out so quick!

I think you get what you pay for.

I have bought inner tubes, hydration pack and the multitool.

Inner tubes no probs - 4/5
Hydration Pack, so far in 6 months no probs and no breakages - 4/5
Multitool - Cheap tat. Wouldn't trust it in an emergency - 1/5

Hydration Pack is perfect! Very impressed, just one quibble is that the tube is a little on the short side... other than that perfect - for £5 compared to £30 for the Camelbak I know which I would rather buy! :D
    It's been a while...
  • +1 for the hydration pack. I've bladder is really good. I also use it in a Vaude backpack.

The track pump is pretty poor though. The guage on mine is very inaccurate and I always faffing about to get the head to fit onto valves.

even so if they are selling reasonable good quality products at a good price then during these times especially people are going to buy them and with good reason.

Only Tescos providing cycling part I have is the bell on the commuter. It sucks, the Bristolians wont move out of the way :D
Seen the stuff at Tesco, it ain't bad, bought some Tesco brand tubes for a mate other than those and the bell, that's about it..

Agreed. Microsoft have to pay the competition for the stranglehold they have onthe Market , tesco should follow suit!

I always buy my tubes in Tescos. Picked a couple out the other day at £1.21, gave one away to a guy at work as he's always broke and has had a slow flat for about a month.

Got one of their track pumps as well, does the job but sometimes the schrader/presta valve sticks.
Less internal organs, same supertwisted great taste.

    Tesco are much too expensive.

    Poundland do:

    water bottle w/holder
    cable locks
    pedals
    bells
    map holder
    mini pump with mounting clips
    lights

Poor quality could probably break using your hands.

I think the same as above

The Tesco in Chard had value puncture repair kits reduced to 24p. These were on a clip strip next to the torches. I guess these will probably be in other stores.

Tesco's stuff is alright but its getting better and better putting a lot of pressure on other company’s as Tesco can sell it cheaper
if you can ride up it, its too easy

Gray, I thought that too. I've now stopped feeding it through the bottom elastic part and only put it through the top loop. Loads more room and it doesn't flop about too much.
