Scott Genius 20 vs Intense Tracer

I have been looking around at finding a AM/Trail bike. I think I have settled on 2 bikes from the cost perspective and weight perspective. The Scott Genius 20 and the Intense Tracer.
I can get an Intense Tracer with great gear (XTR comps, XTR M975 Wheels and Avid Elixer CR 185mm brakes) for about 5100€
The Scott Genius 20 is about 4500€
I will test ride both of them in the next few weeks, but which of them is really a better bike for Tour and Trans-Alp riding? Which is better for AM riding (coming downhill)?
All reviews say both are great bikes and both are very similar in weight - although the Scott 20 has mostly XT components and the Intense would have XTR.
What would you guys recommend regarding the bikes (regardless of price).
