Miche cassette question
I have just got an 8-speed Campagnolo equivalent Miche cassette. But it came in bits with plastic spacers, but there is also a much thinner metal ring.
Where does that go? The 8th, smallest cog has its own metal spacer on it, but it is narrower than the others. Does the metal ring go there between 8 and 7? Or somewhere else?

I'm not familiar with Miche cassettes, but many other cassettes come with a spacer like you describe to go between the freehub and the cassette i.e. it's the first bit you put on, before the cogs. These aren't always needed depending on the combination of wheel and casette, but if I were you I'd put it on as described and see how it goes.0

That sounds sensible to me. (But I am sure I am not imagining it but the space between 8/7, is narrower than the others. I suppose it might be because I have not tightened everything up fully. But it is not part of the design that the first space is narrower than the others?)0
