trail building

hey guys, can anyone recommend some good books on trail/course building or some websites? my gf's mum has has said i can build some trails on her fields at her farm! i want to know about drainage, ground types, building rock gardens, berms, jumps, drops etc, and some ideas of what works. ive built jumps before so im pretty handy with a shovel and know the basics of how to build stuff, but dont really know where to start with a full blown trail!

First place to look would be the IMBA website. They sell books on trail building but whether they cover the stuff you want I don't know.

There's a few good resources online... Best bet to start with I think would be to get yourself along to your nearest organised trailbuilder's group, you'll learn most by seeing things in action, some things just don't make sense til you see it in action I found (though I imagine that your own efforts will be a bit less intensive than a trail centre build with armoured trails, the theory is the same, just the actual surface build will probably be different.)
