  • WIth a 99p opening bid?

I paid £1460 new for mine in 8/07. Thereafter almost impossible to get for much less than the list price of £1999.95. Not seen the 2008 models knocked down much, if indeed available, since the 2009 model was out at a list price of £2250. Plus 2010 models will be announced any time soon so 2009 will get knocked down.

    Strange reason for sale -
"I’m selling her for a combination of reasons – Initially I had knee problems with the Look Keo pedals/cleats that I’d fitted (I’ve already sold these & put back on the original plastic pedals she came with as shown in the picture) which caused the first few rides to stop after 20 miles. I recently did Land’s End John O’Groats and considered taking her but opted for my Claud Butler instead and now find my loyalty lies strongly with the CB and I hardly ever use her hence the sale."

How much would I pay? Now, nothing. I would sit and watch the item for the next 6 days or so just to see how it moves.
There's no such thing as too old.

to quote Newman and Badiel three pounds and 72 pence... Apologies, just been watching one of their DVD's. The Spesh 2010 range seems to be appearing pretty soon. How much do you want to pay for it?

Roubaix are good bikes, if you like it, I would say that up to 6-700 pounds is a very good deal

Have a look at the discounted new versions ( 09 or even possibly 08 ) of the Roubaix from the main mail order places (see Cycling Weekly) then go from there. If it is as mint as the seller says then maybe 70% of the discounted new price would be an absolute top price, and 50-60% would be a good price. It depends on how important it is to have the latest version, given that the 2010 bikes are not far off.

I'd say it's worth about a grand (it's probably worth more like £1200 actually but think they'd have a hard time selling it for that as there's new bikes with warranty and carbon/Ultegra for around £1000).
