    Plot the route:

    Screengrab

    cut to size

upload to hosting site (I used flickr)

paste in the sig and the url of the route:

You forgot the 'cut to size' bit

Don't have to do it 1:1 scale!

Or get a GPS (or a phone with GPS) and set it to record your elevation every 5 seconds then export the date to excell and draw a graph that way.

You know, I always thought the wee maps were a real-time thing!

I will stop feeling quite so impressed now.

Cheers guys, I must have tried about 6 different mapping sites trying to work out which one you's used. Got it sorted the other night but forgot to say thanks :D

As for my graph. That first hill feels like hitting a brick wall. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually but it's killing me at the moment! (the one from about 7.5-8.5ish)

Why didn't you just click on the sig to find the mapping site?.

I did mine, but it's so pathetically insignificant I'm certainly not adding it to my .sig. =)

2 miles, and I climb a handful of metres. Still, at least I get to work quickly. :D

  • I did think mine looked quite smart, until I saw Tardie's master work. As you can all see, I only have one hill. Right at the end. One day it will kill me.

Because when I first spotted them on here, only 1 or 2 people had them and they weren't linking to anything. Just a picture. Well, either that, or the PC has only just decided they are linking to somewhere.

Do you really go up & down the A90 between those roundabouts that many times?

Maybe you dropped something? Either that or your commute just seems short ;)

as i'm london ish any route i take tends to be flatish my old commute used has a good few lumps but then not a route really that a bike shines at 8 miles with fair bit of climbing and before 5am with zero traffic 10 mins in car....3645738297_6b3a63b82c.jpg

did used to see one bike winching his/her way up as i was coming off the mountain though.

What's baffled me is my route doesn't go onto the a90 untill the roundabout just before the bridge, then straight back off again at the other side. The route shows me going up and down a bit of the a90 I don't go on at all

I've re-done it, and uploading the new graph and link now.

Your challenge for tomorrow is to go around the first roundabout EXACTLY as the map tells you to...

My name change? It just sounds more classy I guess.
