Gilet recommendations

can anyone recommend a gilet for me ?

I dont want to pay a fortune and I dont want too much mesh on the back

    I hate 2 b rude bit arent gilets for roadies as i have 1 for when i on My road bike but not mtb?

    dunno - are they? ..... theres times when I dont need a jacket but a jersey isnt quite enough

    Gillets aren't just for roadies! They're very versatile and just at home on the mtb or the road bike.
    My Howies jacket has removable arms, effectively making it a Gillet :)

    I've got a Montane Featherlite one, which is very light and compact, moderately waterproof and wind resistant, but the main selling point is that it's tiny when packed, the size of a small organic apple. So it's brilliant as a "just in case" thing but I'm not sure it's waterproof enough to recommend as a main garment.
