I ordered a Giro helmet on Saturday which arrived on Tuesday. On Wednesday Wiggle reduced the price of the helmet to £5 less than I paid.

One email later and the £5 is winging its way back to my account*

Top work the wigglers

*they may get it back today, it may just rest a moment in my account

I like the Haribos they included with my modest order :D .
A lot better service than many other on line cycle suppliers that come to mind eg Parkers.

Yeah, I recently recieve a free little bag of haribo with a £50 order. I gave it to the receptionist because she thought she was doing me a favour by covering the box when she brought it to me, she was worried wiggle might be 'one of those' sites. When I told her what it actually was, she must have apologised about 30 times between then and now

I told my receptionist my neoprene overshoes were to finish off my fetish outfit, I think she believed me

Her willingness to cover up the box suggests to me that she may well be into 'those kind of' sites...

I did wonder that myself. I was tempted to play along, but after seeing how embarrassed she is already, I think she would have quit had I played along and then she'd searched for it later at home or something

Back when I was a PA, I opened all my boss' post for him, at his request.

One day, he received a large package, about a foot by a foot by a foot, from new zealand. 'What's this?' I thought, and opened it. The whole box was chock full of small, blue tablets.

I put it on his desk, under all his other post. When he arrived, a few hours later, he came rushing over with the receipt to show me that they were diet pills! Bless him. It's only marginally better than what I thought they were...

How do you work out they owed you £5?

Not that it's not very nice of them to give it back, but do you feel you're always entitled to getting the difference back if something you've bought becomes cheaper later?

    Just askin'...

I'm well aware that they didn't owe me anything, it was just back luck on my part to buy it just before it was reduced.

However i did think a quick email was worth a punt.

    I was right

They also will probably take the view that I'm now a happy customer and will return.

    They were right :lol::lol:

I also like the fact that they don't (apart from complete bikes) charge extra to customers who live in Northern Ireland.

  • Wiggle are very good and in my opinion always bend over backwards especially if you are a long term customer.

Last year I wanted a Hope Vision 4 led for one of the lights in my set up, even with the platinum discount the price was £5 more expensive than the price CRC was charging. I sent off an e-mail to wiggle asking if they price matched and detailed the CRC price and highlighted what a good customer I'd been over the years. 45 mins later received a reply stating that they would beat the CRC price by a £5.

Being a pushy git, I then emailed CRC telling them the price wiggle would do it for attaching a copy of the email from wiggle. CRC said they would beat wiggle's price by a £5. I was almost done, but went back to wiggle and sent a copy of CRC's e-mail, Wiggle beat it again by £5 and I purchased for £215 from them, a bargain, and proof that no price is set in stone.

2 months down the line just before the winter months kicked in, and I really needed the light for my commute the head unit developed a lot of condensation inside. A quick message off to wiggle regarding the problem, was told to return, a few days later a brand new light received without any hassle.

Wiggle for me anyway have always been excellent and have always met my needs and then some!

Also the multiple bags of haribos and numerous beer bottle openers are also useful.
I LOVE THE SMELL OF GT85 IN THE MORNING!

Got some in my last order too, although only the second time in a few years of using them! I'm sure the first ones I had were actually in the shape of the word 'wiggle' instead of the tangfastics (or whatever) I just got, but I may be imagining it...?

I wonder if wiggle know that they have an issue here.

A while back the postie handed over a wiggle parcel to my missus. He told her that someone had just told him that wiggle was a cycle gear shop. Before that he'd assumed that we'd been getting frequent deliveries from dodgy websites.

Of course he hasn't seen me getting changed into my bib tights

My world is crumbling around me

I like Wiggle too though I've started comparing prices with other websites now, as they're usually not the cheapest any more, even taking the platinum discount into account. However, I'd certainly pay a small premium in the event of a sizeable purchase for the speed of delivery, customer service and professionalism I've (mostly) experienced so far.
