Erm... scratch that (left details below for reference) - rang the shop in town which does all top end racing road bikes etc they've said they got all the bits for both the BB and headset so am sorted
I've had my jackflash jump frame powdercoated and all in all they've done a fantasti job for the £35 it cost me!!
Just sorting out preping frame for things like BB and headset install.
Now i know the BB needs doing and is important for hollowtechII installs so i've already arrange for my LBS to sort that for me, however they don't have tools to face the headset area for me. When i phoned i'm told is isn't as important to face the headset and i should be able to take back the powder coat with a knife/file.
Would you recommend having the headset faced?? problem i'll have is i don't have many local shops which could carry out the work for me. Heres what the headset looks like now:

Good to hear you are sorted.
in this case it would be more of a skim/just remove the paint as i guess it had been faced before."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

there's something that I really like about that photo. I can't decide if it's the symmetry of the composition and critical focus matched with shallow depth of field or something bizarrely Freudian. I'm a little worried it might be the latterEverything in moderation ... except beer
Beer in moderation ... is a waste of beer
If riding an XC race bike is like touching the trail,
then riding a rigid singlespeed is like licking it
... or being punched by it, depending on the day0 -
well i'd like to think its been faced before but i've had the frame years and its only ever seen thats headset - this is first time its been removed and i've had the frame at year 8 years!!
first time someone said they like a photo of mine lol, trust it to be a little snap like that0
