I went to have a look at some offers on CRC yesterday and it was going super slow, then this morning it was down (said server unavailable), got on it this morning eventually, but its super slow!
Anyways, I was looking at chainsets, they've got a few older Shimano models for sale, and I was looking at the Hone and the LX, from what I can see they are identical other than the branding, is this correct?
For £60, I'm very tempted to replace my Race Face Ride DH crankset which is slightly heavier than the Hone or LX, if they broke it wouldn't be a problem because I could always revert back to the Ride DH crankset, so for £60 it seems a bit of a bargain, but out of Hone and LX what would you go for? are there actually any differences in performance?
LX:

Hone:

And I've also seen on all their pages they have links to the older Shimano Saint M800 cranks for £90 on some pages and for £78.26 on other pages, but when you click the links the Saint doesn't have any option to buy or any prices - so whats going on there??? For £80 or even £90, I'd snap up the saints in a second...

I have the Hone on my commuter. It is a good crank. I'm not clear one the difference between it and the LX though, if there even is one.Everything in moderation ... except beer
Beer in moderation ... is a waste of beer
If riding an XC race bike is like touching the trail,
then riding a rigid singlespeed is like licking it
... or being punched by it, depending on the day0 -
Here, look at the photo showing silly prices, for the Saint under £80, but then click the link and you can't buy it!!!!

The Hone and LX are almost identical, with minor changes the the crank arms for hone, most noticably the steel pedal inserts.0
