I like the retro and heritage ones. Are they good, please?

I've got last year's heritage short sleeve jersey. I really like it - very comfortable, fine material (although I've taken to wearing a merino base layer under it for warmth and anti-smell), three decent sized pockets. I was concerned that the flocked logo might be prone to damage, but it's been fine so far. You could say it's expensive for what you get, but it looks great, and you can often find them at a decent discount online - keep an eye on the Jim Walker website.

The only thing I think it lacks is a zipped valuables pocket.

    Thanks, Philip,
A shame about the lack of zip pocket, I find these useful.

I've the same top- nice and thin for summer. Recommended.

I have last years s/s heritage in black. Probably my favourite jersey even over my more expensive Castelli numbers. Looks great and a good fit (not such a fan of the heritage bib shorts). Wish I'd bought a couple more jerseys at the time as apart from the light/duck egg blue I'm not a fan of this years designs.

What don't you like about them? I occasionally think about buying these when I see them on offer, but I've only ever seen them on the internet, never in the flesh. I've got a pair of Raytech campag shorts, which are comfy but I feel the lycra's a bit on the lightweight side (main downside of this is that hairs tend to poke their way through... ). I've also got a pair of Campag winter bib longs - nice and warm, but the pad is enormous - comfy when on the bike, a small shelf when off it...
Of course, I don't actually need a new pair of shorts...

The pad doesn't seem to suit me and the material itself seems a bit weird I've 5 pairs of mixed Castelli bibs (Dome Due, Cervelo Test team etc.) with their KISS pad and I much prefer those*. On a slow wash week though I may run out and the Campag bibs are a last resort now.

Through choice I'd take bibs over non-bibs everytime but on a slow wash week I've been opting for some older Specialized shorts over the Campag bibs recently.

    * That said I sadly can't just choose Castelli kit and assume I'll get on with it. I don't really get on with their Gregario winter bib longs I bought. Specialized winter bibs for me.
