It has Harvey's maps and route descriptions for loads of good routes, including some excellent bridleways in Grizedale.0 -
Ignore all the negative reports of the north face trail. I did it (being pretty fit, but newish to mountain biking) and loved it. There was tonnes of steep uphills and single track aswell as man made boardwalks that have swamp either side if you come off. It can be pretty busy so I'd advise going during the week.
There are also some great views along the way, so if you wanna take your time I'd take the camera with you.
As for camp sites, not sure about electric hookup, but for camping I'd reccomend Grizedale-camping and riding centre http://grizedale-camping.co.uk/.
It is a proper camp site where they allow camp fires and isn't full of crows of kids etc and leads straight into the forest so you can go for a little adventure off the trails if you like. Eagles Head pub in Sattherthwaite down the road is surposed to be good too although I didn't go last time.
I'd go again anytime, in fact I'm going on Monday but not taking the bike cus I'm gonna have a go at horse riding this time and we are also taking the dog. :shock:0 -

I'm going there on Monday too, but only because it's 20 minutes up the road from me
Think he's ridden the North Face before though so would prefer to do some other stuff. I tend to not wander too far off the North Face in Grizedale, but apparently there's some really good riding to be had in there if you avoid the man made stuff.0 -
just a quick update...
booked a pitch here for a few days to explore round Ullswater then taking a trip over to Keswick to do Whinlatter! Can't wait now, roll on July (oh wait I'm off to Morzine next weekend, s'pose that'll ease the painful wait )
Got tonnes of maps printed off thanks to you guys too0
