I m looking at buying a new bike and I m thinking that the Conalgo 'Primavera' may fit the bill. Don't know a lot about bikes and was wondering if anybody has bought one recently or can give me some advice. I want a bike that looks good and dos'nt cost the earth.

I'm sure you can get better deals for that money (about 1.2K, right?)... but none of the alternatives has a Colnago logo on the down tube.
Choosing a bike is a bit like choosing a girlfriend... as they'll all give you troubles, I would go for the best looking one and Colnago bikes normally look good!left the forum March 20230 -
Hasnt it got tiagra? The badge may say colnago but........???!?!??!?
How about annondale caad 9 105? That frame is a giro winner only a handful of years ago and it has much better kit for less cash.0 -

Colnago has a great legacy and reputation, but with its base models, you're paying a big premium for a Taiwanese-built bikes and if it's value for money you're after, you're proably better off elsewhere. If you're hankering after a Colnago, you could probably get a 2nd hand C40 with DuraAce for the price of the new Primavera - 5 years ago they were rated as the best you could buy and Colnago owners generally look after their kit. If someone says the C40 is old school, then the CAAD9 is an antiquity in comparison.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
