The Tyler Hamilton story is sad...tarnished medals, mysterious twins, and depression.

I hope his future is better than his past.

his palmares is no less credible than a Zabel or LA, Ullrich, Basso in my eyes...still have some respect for the guy...just not lucky enough to pull off a doping program well

is Tyler banned from only racing or also from holding a paid or voluntary employment position with a UCI registered team?

+1 he seemed to get it worse because he was the first big name English speaker who got busted.

To that point I think we all assumed it was those pesky mainlanders acting alone.

that fans are a naive lot at times...want it all and don't like it when the dream is shattered...the reality- it is hard to find one from that era who is morally any better than Tyler...the reaction on here 2 months back made me wanna puke TBQH!

His attempts to clear his name during the first ban were pathetic and desperate, but it seems that infraction may have been the catalyst for his life to start unravelling, which is sad even though it's self inflicted. All of which makes me wonder how many of his old US Postal and CSC team mates have stayed in touch to help him through, or have they all just (perhaps hypocritically) disowned him?
    Take care,

    Steve.

I think a lot of his fans ( and I was one) were extremely disappointed when he took the case to the courts instead of saying yes I did it and accepting the 2 year ban!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I very much doubt he's been shunned by his ex USPS guys...he could write some book if he wanted I bet

Yep, he could write a book alright, but would he write the story as it was or the story he wished it was (as per his increasingly fantastical denial stories/ excuses)? Whatever, I hope his final exit from pro cycling enables him to get his life back on track - although a proven liar and fantasist as a pro bike racer, as a person he's still probably the "nice guy" everybody said he was before 2004.
    Take care,

    Steve.

I would actually want to read his story.

Drugs and transfusions and all, it was still some ride with that collar bone.
