Hello again guys,
I've been away for a little while now, things have been hectic and I've completely neglected me and my riding. So, its time for a new bike, and to get back out and do my best to get my fitness back.
A few months ago I had my heart set on an 09 GT Avalanche 1.0 Disc, but after chatting with a mate, he raised the point of the forks not being the best, so I had a look around and found the Boardman Comp. What do you guys reckon?

Singletrack, trail, a little bit of DH.
Cheers guys.

Hi
I picked my Comp HT up on sunday. Afer now two early morning rides it feel good. Too early to give a proper account, but the spec, for the money holds very good. Initially the tyres seem a little lightweight, but I will give them time before I consider a changekendoddsdadsdogsdead0 -
Does the frame seem tough enough?
Same mate has just thrown a spanner in the works by suggesting the Marin B17, £100 more expensive though.

Hi,
Boardman Comp is a really good bike.
Ive got the Sport and I love it! ( unfortunately I couldnt add cash to my cycle2work voucher, so couldnt upgrade to the comp )
Im sure the Comp, with its lighter frame, better fork, better brakes and better drivetrain will ride really well.
All the Boardmans are really good value, and look the mutts nuts 8)
***EDIT: Frame is certainly tough enough. Im no light-weight, and mines fine when Im bombing down rutted, stoney tracks and dropping off (very low) things lol
I dont do anything too severe tho. EDIT***Why has my sig been removed by the admins???0
