Helpful if you still have the old chain as it will show you how many links you need.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

So what about fitting it? Get a chain tool, and / or some quicklinks.

What chain?
Shimano / Sram / KMC ?
Have you got a chain tool, and have you got links or pins?
If its pins, do not put them back in once removed, you need to buy new ones.
You probably wont be able to put them back in anyway.... I tried.... :oops:
