Bike from the other side

I may well be about to put the sig into action (again  ) and take the plunge and get a road bike. I've posted in the roadies forum and I am getting some useful feedback but I thought it would be worth getting the opinion of other MTB riders.
I'm looking at the Focus Cayo 105 triple from Wiggle. Going to use it for commuting and some road miles in the winter. Looking at the triple rather than the compact as it seems to make more sense coming from the MTB side. There are some pretty steep hills around here and I like my backside firmly planted on the saddle, not waving around in mid air.
Any thoughts (apart from don't buy a road bike)?

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

I know it's wrong but I really like the way it looks, plus I like the buy now pay sometime in the future and the 7 day free trial so if it all goes horribly wrong I can send it back no hassles.
Been posting in the road section again, seem like nice chaps, Oh God I'm getting sucked in..........must resist the razor :shock:It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
