Hi all,

Just wanted to get a 2nd opinion. I just bought a 2007 Giant SCR 2 for £266 on eBay.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0430047620

Could someone have a quick look at the link to make sure I've not bought a lemon. The SCR 2s seem to get great reviews.

Thanks

Will

If it's the right size and in good nick it's a good buy.

Frame size is perfect and it looks in good nick from the pictures! Will hopefully pick it up one evening this week.

It looks like you have got yourself a bargain. I've had my SCR2 for just over a year, and I still think it's brilliant. I upgraded the wheels to Shimano R550s with some good tyres, and the difference is massive.

You can head on over to the link in my signature to see what else I have done to it.

    Cheers

Looks like a good buy, that 58.5 cm frame is an XL, I hope you're 6'3" +

Thanks for the replies, glad I made the right choice in buying it. If I hadn't of bought the Giant it would of been a Dawes Giro 300 I think.

I'm 6' 4" so it should be fine!

I have a scr3 and so far its a great bike, comfortable to ride with a decent spec, Tiagra etc. I have just upgraded the wheels though as the old formula hubs and wheels were naff and kept breaking. It should be a good buy for you I reckon.
