got up and trued the back wheel, faffed about for a bit longer than i should have then went to the park to watch and have a chat with danny mcckaskill and duncan shaw and watched them ride for a bit.

then hit the fireroads for a quick blast, but it looked like rain so i came home and it didnt rain.
i feel sorta cheated, but it was still a good day.

and yes, I wore my FF on the fireroads.

I would like to wear the FF doing my AM riding as the downhills get pretty scary. Just doesn't wash with most people and boy does it get hot.

    How do you manage?

    Alright Super,

I'm awaiting a new delivery of Rock SHox revelations and a new front Hope wheel with 20mm maxle compatibility.

I was wondering how the higher forks will affect biike geometry. Giant do spec the top of the range Trance with a 140mm Fox, so it won't affect my warranty.

Current head angle with 120mm fork is 69degrees, any idea what the 140mm fork will do to the ha?

Also will my tt be reduced by an inch?

TT will be the same - effective measurement will change though and get slightly longer, as will the wheel base.

Head angle will change by just under a degree.

Overall effect will be a bike that is more stable at speed, but more sluggish to turn.

Back on topic now that Naveed has once again made someone elses Thread "all about Naveed" and Naveed's bike..

Went to the Forest of Dean today, weather was ace 25ºC
Did a blast around the Cannop area of Forest of Dean today and wore my 661 body armour for the first time.. talk about a wearable sauna!
After that, removed the armour, changed helmets and did a 15 mile round trip trek to Coleford, there is a great ascent along that route that never comes to an end. After my dismal performance up the hills at the Test Valley 50Km last Sunday I sure need the practice.

Now at home, had a sh!t, shave & shampoo and am chilled with a large glass of Roses Lime Cordial <-- teetotaler

    Today was a good day..

And you wonder why no one likes you on this Forum? Get a grip and learn to take constructive criticism. Also, a rather infantile reply for someone who claims to be 31.

It's pretty obvious that some people like me and some dislike me. To say 'that's why no one likes you' is the best example of childish behaviour I can think of.

Also the run on words; shit, shower and a shave, truly disgusted me. It is the rhyme of a beer swilling rugby loving buffoon.

Yes, I am 31, but this is not old my friend. All in all, I was just having a chat before you contaminated this thread with your negativity and as a result I've responded with some negativity.

There's nothing like a few years under your belt to make you grow up.

Best of luck Naveed. In years to come you'll look back and be disgusted with yourself.

You just called me pr1ck and now you're telling me to grow up: a contradiction in terms ... surely?

    Cum of it Michael :P

had a great ride this afternoon, just a local loop with a friend I have not seen in a while but was an absolute blast. Thought I would give it some as I now need to bin the chain (.75 reached), thought it deserved a good send off after serving me so well.

Finished up with a pint and watching someone on a downhill rig jumping stairs and sharing favourite riding spots.

Shame I have to go to work tomorrow really :( will probably be wishing I was out in the sun doing it all over again.

You acted like a pr1ck, and got called one.

I was referring to your low level intellect and substandard education when you used my surname as a reference for your childish comments.

Luckily, there are plenty of normal, intelligent and helpful people on here, and insects like you do not spoil the boards.

Michael, let's get one thing straight: you swore at me, I didn't swear at you and start this unfortunate interaction.

Secondly, you're now attacking my 'low level intellect' and 'substandard education'

This is an attack on my parents who actually provided me with an outstanding eductation, an education that enables me to defend myself against people like you.

I'm sure many people could say a great deal of things about me, but I honestly don't think that people think I've got a low intellect or substandard education.

I've got an honours degree in Psychology from Goldsmiths College, University of London, sorry if that's substandard and I didn't go to Oxford or Cambridge. Sorry for posting on this highbrow community site.

Had an awesome ride today with my riding bud, did Llandegla, full black run and the last part of the red, in a record time for us, 1hr 25min, not lightning but good for us, hard work in this heat too, still buzzing off it though, the DH's on the black, we pushed like crazy

Oh and howdy to the lads we saw at halfway through the black just before the big north shore jump, top lads, real life peace and tranquility instead of this internet keyboard warrior bs.

Well we had a decent ride today including a good hour in a beer garden in the sun. Same team will be at Mountain Mayhem next weekend so more of the same I hope, peace, love, sunshine and beers :P .

The trails were really hard today, even saw dust coming up a one point. Life is good 8)
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

    I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result
