hello all
i have been lurking for several months now having been bitten by the bug and am very impressed with the advice and enthusiasm of this forum.
I am currently hacking around several routes on my Koga hybrid and have now convinced myself (and more importantly my better half) that an investment is needed in a fully fledged road bike.
i am down to a 2009 trek 1.7c or a cannondale 2008 CAAD9.
Both seem to have very similar specs and price although 2008 cannondale is reduced from original price - so is this a better frame just out of fashion?
whats a man to do??
thanks kevin

You need to ride them both to see which you prefer.
I like Cannondales. Caveat: My only experience of them is my Cannondale M500 MTB which I bought second hand. It's very stiff and responsive and at the same time doesn't feel as 'dead' as other Alu bikes I have had. It's hard too to believe it has a rigid aluminum fork. It used the precursor to the CAAD3 tubeset.0
