Please help - tall rider question

I'm 6'5'' tall and ride a Giant XL Trance. It has a 25' TT and a standover height of 32''. I'm currently running a 70mm stem but still find myself stretching to reach the handlebars. My elbows are nearly always straight.

Being a big lad yourself, do you think the bike could be a tad too long for even a giant like myself?

Also I find sizing really confusing. For example in a review in MBR (sorry) they compared the Trance to the Pitch Pro and even though the Trance has a longer TT, The Pitch Pro has a longer downtube and overall wheel base thus making it the bigger bike.

Sorry if this sounds confusing, but most of the time I have to pour over geometry charts before even thinking of laying down the cash.

For someone of 6'5'' and a 36 inch inside leg, should I only be looking at 24'' + TT and a 30'' plus standover.

I have my eye on a Santa Cruz Nomad XL but the standover is only 29''. Would this cause problems?

Your advice would be greatly appreciated...
