Following on from Peter Kennaugh's form in Italy, a great result for Adam Blythe in Germany, winning Stage 7 of the Thuringen Rundfahrt. A very good young Brit based in Belgium, doing it outside the BC system so to speak.
Finished 58th overall, in a fairly decent field, including Taylor Phinney in 32nd place

If you look at the choices British cycling make you would wonder what plan t they are from and on. They decided they didn't need the sevices of one Joe Perrett this year, they also manage without Dominic Schils while using the services of some who have never seen a mountain in their wives.0

weird"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0 -

That's funny - there's been plenty of KOMs from the Netherlands and I don't remember seeing any mountains last time I was there.
Perhaps there are but just hidden in their wives?Expertly coached by http://www.vitessecyclecoaching.co.uk/

Well BC should really be getting to the stage where there should be promising riders coming through outside the system, due to the numbers being produced at junior level who can't all fit in the BC road programme.0
