......before I take the plunge.

Waiting to see if I can get it in my size, but until then, I would greatly appreciate anyone's experience of Bianchi (and particularly any ladies who have this model). I have heard good things about them, but just wonder if it is more of a 'name' thing?
Before anyone suggests it, yes I have tried mens' bikes, but don't like the fit as much as the womens'.
Thank you in advance.

I wouldn't say its a name thing. And I would guess you heard good things about them for a reason.
I've riden a Binachi for nearly two years and I can honestly say it's never let me down. And am sure there's plenty of binachi riders that are in the same boat. Bianchi is a well known, and reputable company. Sometimes they are a little more expensive than ginat or trek etc, but to most its worth it for that bit of italian exotica. They have been making bikes for years, and in general make good bikes. IMO for a first bike you can't really go wrong.
Personally I don't thing the wheels are fantastic on that bike but there a good starting point. They can always be upgraded later.

Thanks, I have my heart set on it anyway and was hoping that someonce would say good things!
Just out of interest, what is wrong with the wheels?
Thanks again.0 -
Mhairi,
Sorry wasn't paying attention. I assumed they had the ambriso w23 wheels that most binachi entry level road bikes come with. Sure those will be fine.

I was in Tatton Park today with the kids and a very attractive lady rode past on a very nice 928 with 2008 Record. Well, I think she was an attractive lady anyhoo, very trim/petite in Lady Assos gear but tbh I was looking more at her bike.

My riding buddy has a C2C Bianchi and it is like riding a pillow about. Just lovely.0
