    Ok so the guy has developed what appears to be a neat folding wheel, but what additional benefit is it over a conventional wheel? I bet it is quite a bit heavier and more expensive. How about the rim surface not being continuous? It will need a disc brake - more expense. With QR you don't really need a folding wheel. There's already a very good compact folder and it's called a Brompton. Seems a bit gimmicky creating a folding wheel for the sake of it.
